Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd (KIMS) has expanded into Kerala through a long-term lease and management agreement with Sree Chand Specialty Hospital in Kannur.
KIMS Swastha Private Ltd has entered into a lease agreement with Sreechand Specialty Hospitals Private Ltd (Sree Chand Specialty Hospital), Payammbalam, Kannur, Kerala along with operations and management agreement of the said Hospital effective from 1st October 2024.
Established in 2020, Sree Chand Specialty Hospital currently operates with 189 beds, six operating theatres, and one cath lab. Under the new agreement, the hospital will be rebranded as KIMS Sreechand Specialty Hospital and undergo a major transformation.
The facility will be expanded to a 350-bed quaternary care unit, offering state-of-the-art facilities across all departments, with a particular emphasis on advanced transplants, robotic surgeries, and comprehensive cancer care.
In line with this expansion, KIMS has appointed Arjun Vijayakumar, (formerly head of finance functions at Aster Hospitals in Kerala), as the regional finance head for Kerala operations. The group will also see the induction of esteemed clinicians and management personnel to enhance its team and services in Kerala.
